Vancouver City Life

Vancouver has been on our list for a while as a place we’d like to try to live in. I’ve personally been against living in Vancouver because of the busy/expensive lifestyle that often goes with it. While the city is busy and expensive I do think that there are some cool neighbourhoods I could happily live in while taking advantage of the beauty that surrounds the city.

We stayed right in downtown Vancouver in an adorable and well decorated apartment. Since we were high up in a tall building we could take advantage of the Vancouver skyline on a daily basis.

Living downtown didn’t just give us access to cool shops, restaurants, and bars, but also the beautiful harbour.

We took the adorable aquabus over to the market.

Granville Island market is one of my most favourite places. There are just so many yummies available.

Of course we had to stop for some Granville Island brew!

I found one of my most favourite people! We hung out and had delicious beers. One great thing about Canada is it’s easy to find friends, old and new.

John and I celebrated our 10th anniversary by checking out the Vancouver Aquarium.

It was a super rainy day, but I loved every minute of it.

After the Aquarium we headed to the local nerd bar to play some games.

Vancouver has an abundance of delicious coffee shops that we took advantage of daily.

Another fun nerd spot! Pizza Ludica has an incredible selection of board games and some really tasty pizza. The pizza is so good that I would go there even if they didn’t have board games.

What’s a visit to Vancouver without taking advantage of the beautiful Stanley Park? nuthin.

The airport has real live whales!

Vancouver is a beautiful city. Living right downtown wasn’t really my style, I’d prefer to try one of the other neighbourhoods next time or if I were to live there.

Next: some cool photos of Banffffff.
