What a truly young and hip city. Like I was constantly saying “wow this is too hip for me” and “I wish I was 10x cooler to pass as a local”. BA is youthful, vibrant, fashionable, and a place I totally loved.
Oh what an incredibly modern city! After a month in Lima and ten days in the Peruvian mountains it was so refreshing to be in a city with well maintained sidewalks and traffic that respected pedestrians. We lived near the downtown of Santiago, close to government buildings and museums. It was definitely the most polished […]
Before I get into too much detail about this amazing Andean adventure I want to share an overview of how we did it. Everyone has a “best” way to go to Machu Picchu and while mine might not be the the best for everyone, I do think it worked out well for me and the […]
After spending 3 weeks in Lima, I feel like I got to know the city a bit better. Not completely, I mean can you ever really “know” a city but I definitely felt acquainted with the bohemian Barranco neighbourhood.
*I wrote this a few weeks ago when I was in Lima but had trouble adding photos due to bad internet. Sorry for the delay! Pretend I’m still in Lima when reading this haha!* Woah! Lima! Hey! I’ve been in Lima for almost 2 weeks now and I haven’t done any of the huge tourist […]

However, I had some experiences that were less than perfect and honestly downright disturbing that I want […]
We’ve been living in Bogotá for nearly 3 weeks now and I feel like we’ve been able to get to know the city more. I’m starting to see what it’s like to actually live here and not just be a tourist here. Although, we’ve gotten up to some more tourist things too.
My poor neglected blog! Malta is so so beautiful and I think it would be a shame not to include it on my blog. I’ve had every intention to share all the experiences and photos but time and the busyness of life has swept past me. Anyway, better late than never!
My first impression of Bogotá is that it is a very big city (obvious). Bogotá is full of hustling and bustling people trying to move through their busy lives. Walking through the streets during my first couple of days made me want to walk fast with purpose even though I had nowhere in particular to […]
